WITHDRAWAL OF THE INTEGRATED INDUSTRY WASTE TYRE MANAGEMENT PLAN
MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice
The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice of her intention to consider the withdrawal of her approval of the Integrated Industry Waste Tyre Management Plan of the Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa, published in terms of Regulation 11(4) of the Waste Tyre Regulations, 2009 under GN 988 on 30 November 2012 (“Plan”). The reasons for the withdrawal pro-offered by the Minister in this notice pertain to the failure to achieve the Plan's objectives and the lack of proper governance and/or accountability. Members of the public are invited to submit written comments on the possible withdrawal within 30 days from the date of this publication (i.e. on or before 3 July 2017).
